About UMCOR Sunday:

UMCOR Sunday is THIS Sunday, March 22!

We know that many of us will not be gathering in person for worship this Sunday due to the coronavirus pandemic. In this time of crisis we are reminded of the important work the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is doing all the time all around the world. Last month, UMCOR issued an emergency grant to an organization working to limit the spread of coronavirus in China.

Gifts given on this special Sunday cover the costs of doing business so that all other donations to UMCOR – 100 percent – can go to helping survivors when and where they are needed most, as UMCOR volunteers work to alleviate human suffering and advance hope and healing.

UMCOR receives no mission share dollars, so your gifts this UMCOR Sunday are critical!

And you don’t have to leave home to give:

  1. To give to UMCOR online, click here and choose UMCOR Sunday in the dropdown box
  2. To see a mission share donation total for your church on your conference mission-share statement, send a check along with your church name and address to the New England Conference office, 411 Merrimack St., Suite 200, Methuen, MA 01844. Checks should be made payable to NEAC with “UMCOR Sunday” in the memo line.
  3. To give by mail directly to UMCOR: Send checks made out to GCFA to P.O. Box 340029, Nashville, TN 37203 (Please put “UMCOR Sunday” in memo section).

Even though most of us aren’t together physically at church, we can still come together to support UMCOR, as its work will be even more urgent for survivors of disasters who must now wait even longer for volunteer help because of the national emergency just declared and the coronavirus pandemic.
