Dear Friends in Faith,
Last Sunday we heard the witness of Betsy Hardy and Rev. Dick Hibbert as they shared their concern for the environment and the work of Vermont Interfaith Power and Light. They both expressed eloquently the connection between faith and care for the environment. As God’s people we are stewards of all that God has given us, including the gifts of creation.
Below you will find a prayer to our God, the Creator of the Universe. And please scroll down further to read about the upcoming activities of our Faith community.
Your Friend in Faith,
Pastor Krista Beth
Today, Creator of the Universe, we ask that you open our heart and open our eyes so we can enjoy all of your creations and live in eternal love with you. Help us to see you in everything we perceive with our eyes, with our ears, with our heart, with all our senses. Let us perceive with eyes of love so that we find you wherever we go and see you in everything you create. Let us see you in every cell of our body, in every emotion of our mind, in every dream, in every flower, in every person we meet. You cannot hide from us because you are everywhere, and we are one with you. Let us be aware of this truth. Amen.

Sunday Evening Adult Study ~ The Book of Esther: Holy Gumption . Pastor Krista Beth is leading a Sunday Evening Adult Study focusing on The Book of Esther. We will meet Sundays January 11- February 15 from 5:30-6:30pm in the Upper Elementary Room. We will discuss questions including: Who was Esther? What does her story have to do with our faith? What can we learn from Esther to deepen our faith? How is Esther’s historical context similar to our context today? All are welcome!
Can you eat what we serve at Fellowship Time? Our Sunday morning hosts have graciously provided gluten free options for those unable to tolerate gluten. In trying to be hospitalble to all, they wonder if there are other folks with dietary restrictions that prevent them from enjoying the food at fellowship time? If you, or a family member, have need for a special diet please contact Jay Furr at jfurr@furrs.org.
We are the Deodorant Church! JUMP (Joint Urban Ministries Project) depends on us to provide deodorant to share with members of the community in need. (The Dollar Store is a great place to buy deodorant.) There is a basket on the Outreach Table in the Gathering Space where donations of deodorant can be placed. Thank you!
*If you wish to be removed from this distribution list, please let me know by replying to this e-mail. Thanks!
