Dear Friends in Faith,

This week I share with you some words from our Bishop, Sudarsharna Devadhar.  Scroll further down in the e-mail for information about what’s happening at Faith UMC!

Your Friend in Faith,
Pastor Kristabeth

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Like many of you I am deeply concerned and disappointed by President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate accord.

As United Methodists, as Christians, we are committed to being good stewards of God’s magnificent creation. It is up to us to protect and sustain this amazing, abundant gift – not just for ourselves, but for all the generations to come.

This decision, which puts so much in jeopardy, is even more alarming because it seeks to isolate us further from the world community.

I am proud to share this statement from the Council of Bishops urging the president to reconsider this damaging decision.

I encourage you to read it, share it widely, and lift it up in your prayers on Sunday as we celebrate the birth of the Church.

Climate Accord Statement

In Christ’s love,
Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar
