Dear Friends in Faith,
Children’s Sunday is one of my favorite Sundays of the year ~ and not because I don’t have to preach 🙂 On Children’s Sunday the children lead us in worship which, it seems to me, is the way God intended it to be. In Matthew 18 Jesus tells the disciples, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” As adults we can get bogged down in the politics and minutia of church life (and life in general). Children remind us that the important things are joy, compassion, hope and trust.
Below you will find a prayer for our children. Further down are announcements about our Faith community life together.
Your Friend in Faith,
Pastor Kristabeth
Bless our children, Lord,
growing up into a future
that is difficult to predict.
Protect them, guide them
and give them wisdom
to see above and beyond
the tempting choices
this world may offer,
that they might become
the people who, in your eyes,
they were always meant to be.
