Dear Friends in Faith,
Sharing our faith is sometimes a difficult thing to do. Recently there was a short video on Facebook about one pastor’s answer to the question, “What do you do?” He answered, “I work for a global and intergalactic enterprise.” That’s one way to put it! It’s true that, in certain groups, it can be uncomfortable to say, “I am a Christian” or “I go to church.” Yet Lent is a time to challenge ourselves with new insights and new practices. Maybe this week, the fourth week of Lent, we could share our faith with someone ~ a friend, a colleague, a neighbor ~ and tell them about this global and intergalactic adventure that is faith.
Below you will find information about upcoming events and activities in our church and wider community.
Your Friend in Faith,
Pastor Krista Beth
Lord, grant us simplicity of faith
and a generosity of service
that gives without counting cost.
A life overflowing with Grace
poured out from the One
who gave everything,
that we might show
the power of love
to a broken world,
and share the truth
from a living Word.
Lord, grant us simplicity of faith,
and a yearning to share it. Amen.

It’s a Party … And You’re Invited! (Message from Gary)
Please join us on March 15th to celebrate Pastor Krista Beth’s 40th birthday. We’ll gather in Brand Hall at 2:00pm to sing Happy Birthday and watch her blow out the candles on her cake. It’ll be an upbeat time of celebrating and looking forward to what Krista has called “the best decade yet.” RSVP to Julie Waldron in the gathering space or at jstar8@myfairpoint.net.
Your presence is gift enough, but if you really want to bring a present, Pastor Krista Beth has asked that people make a donation to the United Methodist Women’s Domestic Violence Initiative. A basket will be available at the party to collect donations. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to make a donation, please send your check to:
