Dear Friends in Faith,

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  As many of you know, much of my ministry in the community involves advocacy and support in relation to Domestic and Sexual Violence.  I am involved on both the county and state-level in bringing awareness and support to those on the front lines of domestic and sexual violence prevention and response.  This month I am also co-leading a training for clergy in domestic violence awareness and response.  On Sunday a member of the Women Helping Battered Women staff will join us to speak briefly and answer questions during our Gathering Time.

Please pray for all those impacted by Domestic Violence, using the prayer below or your own.  Scroll further down to read about upcoming events and opportunities in our Faith community.

Your Friend in Faith,

Pastor Krista Beth

Almighty God, we pray for all victims of abuse.  We ask you to surround them with your care and protect them by your loving might and permit them to enjoy health and healing, wholeness and strength, calmness and peace and love.  Most of all that they feel your presence and be confident in you.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Pastor Krista-Beth’s Schedule

Next Thursday (10/16) I will be at my continuing education class, Tending the Fire.  Otherwise I will be keeping my regular office and open hours.
