Dear Friends in Faith,
It has been a tough few weeks for our church family, as we have lost several members and friends. Last Saturday Jim Thomas died. Tomorrow we will celebrate his life with a Funeral Service in the Sanctuary at 10am. I may be late to my Barnes & Noble Hours tomorrow as I will be traveling with the family for the burial at 2pm. Even as we say good bye to friends and companions in Christ, we know that death is not the end. As St. Paul asks, “Where,O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The gift of Eternal Life is one of the may gifts that God gives to us out of God’s great love.
Below you will find a prayer of thanksgiving and awareness for God’s abundance. Scroll down to find information about what is happening in your faith community!
Your Friend in Faith,
Pastor Kristabeth
Creator God, forgive our moments of ingratitude
the spiritual blindness that prevents us
from appreciating the wonder that is this world
the endless cycle of nature
of life and death and rebirth.
Forgive us for taking without giving
reaping without sowing.
Open our eyes to see
our lips to praise
and our hands to share
May our feet tread lightly on the path we tread
and our footsteps be worthy of following
for they lead to you.
