Dear Friends in Faith,

I am back and so is the Update!  I had a wonderful Renewal Leave and feel so blessed to be back among my Faith family. I pray that you all had renewing summer experiences, too.  I am so grateful to Rev. Anne, Tricia, our Staff Parish Team, our Church Leadership and the whole Congregation for your leadership and participation over the summer.  God is with us, indeed!

Below you will find a beautiful prayer reflecting our search for God in our everyday lives.  Scroll further down to read about upcoming events and opportunities in our community of faith.

Your Friend in Faith,
Pastor Krista Beth

O God, our God:
Our hearts long to be at home with You.

Our minds hunger for more knowledge of You

.
Our hands are full of needs to lay before You.

Come to us, we pray, in the midst of the hurry and busyness of our lives.

Let us hear Your voice in the sounds and silences that fill our days.

Let us see you in the faces of our human companions.

Let us sense your ministry to us in the love of the creatures You have given us for our delight.

Be in the yearning of our souls that, no matter what name we call You,

We can know You,

We can murmur  “I and Thou,”

“You and I”

and be perfectly content in Your presence.
Amen.

Next Monday and Tuesday I will be working from home (or possibly a local cafe) due to the parking-lot paving.  I will be away next Wednesday ~ vacation day to move Ben into his dorm at Northfield Mount Herman in Gill, MA.  (Please pray for us and for Ben as he begins his boarding school experience!)  Otherwise I will be keeping my regular Office and Open Hours.

JOIN THE FUN! Dine Around Nines

We are looking forward to another season of DINE AROUND NINES.  How does it work?  Nine or fewer interested folks join together in each others homes about four times during the year to share dinner.  Usually, the host “family” asks other members of the group to contribute to the meal so it is easy for everyone.  The purpose is to share a  meal and to gather together with others from Faith Church for fun and fellowship!  Sign up on the kiosk.
